Sites which use AVS services often advertise themselves as "free sites."  Then, when you get to the site, you learn that the site requires that you be a member of an AVS service (not "as a charge for visiting the site", but merely, according to most sites, to "guarantee" that you are an adult).  In actuality, of course, AVS sites are inexpensive pay sites which receive a kickback from the AVS company whenever a surfer to their site signs up with the service.

AVS memberships are not expensive (less than ten cents per day). However, many standard shemale-related AVS sites contain little more than a handful of public domain pictures surrounded by reams of banners for shemale subscription sites.  AVS sites also typically do not update.  Clearly, one cannot expect as much from an AVS site as from a site which charges a monthly subscription fee.  However, one should get more than is readily available from free sites, and at a minimum the sites should provide thumbnails of all pictures, should be easy to navigate, should have something (even minimally) "special" (a theme for example), and should not send the visitor  into advertising hell with blind links.  A few of those that I've found that are worth a visit  are listed below.     If you know of any other AVS sites that you think can be honestly recommended, please let me know: virginiagrant@hotmail.com
